Squash da Pergola Lagenaria (Cucuzzi)
Although technically an edible gourd, this delightful Italian squash produces elongated cylindrical fruits (up to 3 ft.), light-green color. Wonderful eating before fully matured like a zucchini or squash, also grown for the sprouts, and used like gourds when the fully ripened fruit is emptied and dried for rustic containers. The young fruit is commonly used throughout Italy as 'cucuzzi'. UNTREATED
