This Italian escarole has an exceptionally well-developed head, with very elongated, open crown leaves. Core leaves rise lightly ruffled, in a light green color which blanches easily. This escarole is particularly cold tolerant. Recommended also for the latest sowing in the season, for a mid-winter harvest in mild climates. UNTREATED
