Lamb's Lettuce

Lambs Lettuce Seed

Mache is a cool season crop, grown for spring and/or fall harvest, and often grown over winter in areas where the season is not severe, or in cold frames or unheated greenhouses. Plant 1 inch apart in rows 12 inches apart, thin to 2 inches once established--the thinnings make for a great 'baby' salad. Harvest once 2 inches or so tall and still fairly young, as mature plants do not have the best light-mint flavor.
